This helps us match your vessel with moorings that are safely suited to your specs.

Once set up, your profile saves all your bookings, preferences, and reviews — so you're always ready to sail.

📍 Step 2: Find a Mooring Near You (or at Your Destination)

Using the interactive MooringMate Map, you can browse all available mooring buoys in your current location or at a destination you're sailing to.

Use filters to find the perfect buoy:

• Location or search by name (e.g., “Opunohu Bay”)
• Dates of arrival/departure
• Boat compatibility (length, tonnage)
• Depth and mooring type (e.g., line, chain, swivel)

• Verified reviews and ratings from other sailors

Zoom into the map or tap on any buoy to see key info: size limits, maintenance history, price, and more.

🧠 Step 3: Check Availability and Suitability

Every mooring listed on MooringMate is connected to a live availability calendar.

You’ll instantly see:

• If it’s available on your chosen date(s)
• If your vessel specs match the safe usage of the buoy
• Any restrictions (e.g., max stay, protected zone limits)

Our smart system alerts you if a buoy isn’t suitable, so you don’t waste time — or risk damage.

💳 Step 4: Book & Pay in Seconds

Once you’ve found a suitable mooring:

• Click “Book Now”
• Confirm your dates and vessel
• Pay securely via credit card

As soon as you pay, the buoy is reserved and removed from public availability — no double bookings, no confusion.

You'll receive:

• A booking confirmation email
• Directions to the mooring (if provided by mooring owner)
• Emergency contact (if provided by mooring owner)
• Your receipt and tax invoice (if applicable)

📝 Step 5: Moor, Relax, and Leave a Review

When you arrive:

• Locate your buoy easily via GPS or map marker
• Check visual ID (each buoy is tagged in the system)
• Moor safely and enjoy your stay!

After your departure, you’ll get a short prompt to leave a review and optionally:

• Report any wear & tear
• Add notes for the next sailor
• Share local tips (e.g., dinghy dock, nearby services)
